I was walking home, tired and weary, after a long day of work. It was almost zero degrees on this particularly cold evening.  The snow bit my nose and I huddled into my thick coat and scarf. In exactly eight days it will be Christmas. I was wiggling in my shoes, just waiting for the holiday to come. I was working extra hard for my wife and son, back at the apartment, so that on Christmas morning they can wake up to presents under their tree and a delicious meal to eat that night.
